Horus Gold

Every living pharaoh was Horus. Not a descendant, not a representative — the god himself, wearing a body, holding an office. Gold was the metal of that claim, because gold does not tarnish and neither, in theory, does a dynasty.

Horus Gold opens on saffron and cardamom, warm and slightly medicinal, before a gold accord — jasmine sambac, orris, a metallic brightness — takes the centre. Amber resin, sandalwood, and tonka carry it into a long, unhurried drydown. It is a fragrance that assumes it will be listened to.
