Lotus Blanc

The blue lotus closes at dusk, sinks beneath the surface, and opens again at dawn. Egypt read that daily disappearance and return as the plainest available proof of rebirth, and carved it into everything.

Lotus Blanc keeps the water in the composition. A green, faintly bitter opening gives way to water lily and an aquatic musk that never tips into soap, and cedar and ambrette dry it out at the end. Clean, but not innocent — there is dark water under it throughout.
